Havurah

“I have much from my teachers, but have
learned even more from my friends.”
Babylonian Talmud, Ta’anit 7a

The word havurah comes from the Hebrew word “haver”, meaning friend. At Temple Etz Rimon our havurot are small circles of friends who share similar interests and values. Each havurah chooses its activities, which combine social & religious functions. They celebrate holidays, life cycle events, and attend worship services together. Many havurot attend lectures, visit museums and attend the theater. Being in a havurah is a way to feel the warmth and support of the congregation in a more intimate and personal setting. Your havurah quickly becomes an extended Temple family.
